      A Day of Labor

So is THAT why they call it Labor Day?
Worked quite hard today ... around the house.
Painted the porch rails and posts, painted the door trim and the outer doors to the deck, the trim around the garage doors and general other "spruce ups". I would post pictures - but now it's just too darn dark to take any!
But don't you just LOVE those projects that you can complete and then stand back and say "Wow" "that looks great"! ??
Apparently the local wildlife enjoys a sparklin' clean house too - on one of our iced tea breaks on the deck between coats on the doors our resident Black Bear wandered through the back yard. He kept just to the other side of the fence line, and must have heard us calling to one another but just ambled on ... checking out our Labors!
      So that was our weekend

To be outspoken when truth is under attack, when charity is being bruised, or when important issues of life are at stake is a good and courageous thing. To be outspoken when nothing is at stake except the feelings of someone else is a small and contemptible thing. ~ Lawrence G. Lovasik (The Hidden Power of Kindness)
