      Time to Go?

A co-worker sent me the link to this article. Thanks, I think!?
The article asks 5 questions to help the reader determine if it is time to leave there current job.
I thought I KNEW the answer to "Is it time to go" ... but now I'm not so sure.
      1. Does my company stand for something -- anything -- special?

Not especially, but the work I do DOES count for everything for each graduate that I help find a job.

      2. Am I excited to see my colleagues when I show up for work on Monday morning?
Yes, actually, I am ... especially those I have worked with for years.

      3. Do I have a voice at work -- does anyone who matters listen to what I say?
Hmmm... a select few ... certainly no one at a corporate level besides my direct corporate boss who is very supportive, very helpful and frequently asks for and respects my opinions.

      4. Am I learning as fast as the world is changing?
I have to in order to keep up. This company is all about training and sharing "best practices". Am I learning anything that would be of use in another job? Don't think so.

      5. Am I making enough money?
Is anyone?? I guess I would have to say yes to this, certainly as I look into other jobs ... and realize that leaving would mean a pay cut.

To be outspoken when truth is under attack, when charity is being bruised, or when important issues of life are at stake is a good and courageous thing. To be outspoken when nothing is at stake except the feelings of someone else is a small and contemptible thing. ~ Lawrence G. Lovasik (The Hidden Power of Kindness)
