How do they come and go so fast?
Seems like a moment ago it was Friday night ... (sigh).
and almost as fast as the weekends ... so goes the summer.
I'm sitting here with my calenday and trying to remember all the things I said we could attend this late June and July and August and suddenly there are darn few weekends left! Squeeze in a little gardening, lawn mowing and grilling on the deck and it looks like we're maxed out with time.
Is it the same with everyone? You too?
So I continue here with the spring ritual of all working mothers (never the fathers) and that is the planning of Birding Girls summer. She does not want to go to camp this year ... and a little too old to go to grandmas every day. - but too young to just sit in the house all day every day.
I have plenty of vacation left that must be taken by August and yet a co-worker who put in for his summer vacations last week was hit with the response "just how much vacation time do you get anyway?" and then finally - "We'll see if we can accomodate all that time"
Al of this banter leaves me to say "YIKES" as I have not yet put in for my vacation, and I too have much time coming.
So ... it's back to the calendar and see what the summer brings ... er, what's left of it I mean.
