      Rainy Sunday afternoon

      What do you do?
      Church is over
Birding Dad cut the grass until the rain stopped all his fun
Birding Girl and her friend-for-the-weekend are playing video games
      Me?
      There are bills to pay
      Laundry to tackle
      Checkbooks to balance
carpets and floors to vacuume (Did I mention that #1 dog is shedding)
(see extended entry for the irony in this statement)
and I don't want to do any of it.... isn't this my "Day of Rest"?

When we got dog #2 - I'm sure that somewhere in the contract with the breeder I stated that the contract will become void if the NEW Berner refuses to shed at the same time as our CURRENT Berner.
      And did this happen???????
      No.
#1 Berner has been shedding at the rate of 2 bags per day - for the past three weeks to the point that her winter coat is almost gone and HE HAS NOT YET BEGUN TO SHED AT ALL!
Even though I sat him down two weeks ago and sternly charged him to begin the spring shedding NOW!
So, in result, the vacuume still lives in the front hallway so that it is accessible 3 or 4 times per day - and to make matters WORSE (or just more ironic)...
#1 Berner chewed the floor attachment to the vacuume last night to the point of no return ... (sigh)

To be outspoken when truth is under attack, when charity is being bruised, or when important issues of life are at stake is a good and courageous thing. To be outspoken when nothing is at stake except the feelings of someone else is a small and contemptible thing. ~ Lawrence G. Lovasik (The Hidden Power of Kindness)
