Let me tell you about my grandchildren

Their mom has all the photos of their Medieval Recreation week over at Blue Frog Hollow. Sounds like they had a great vacation!
They belong to an international society called the The Society for Creative Anachronism (or SCA)
... and spend many weekends at events, many $$$ on fabric to make garb, as well as fencing, scribing and just having a great time.
